Rising from the Ashes

Come November, Scorpio makes good use of Halloween witches’ forsaken brooms, sweeping out the old and making way for the new. Take some time to reflect on what you are ready to relinquish. Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, you have an opportunity to transform or release any behavior that no longer serves you.

With the new Moon at 9 degrees Scorpio at 8:25pm on 11/1, you can transform old ways of being that prevent you from deeply sharing yourself, your vision and your wisdom with others. The new Moon in Scorpio gives you an opportunity to speak your truth more fully and to honor the deep passion and intensity of your emotions.

Mars in Taurus, in a challenging relationship with Neptune in Aquarius 11/4-10, asks us to surrender our personal will so we can be guided by spirit. Most of us learn that to make things happen, we must use strong will to control and manage our lives. Using the energy of Mars and Neptune, you can learn to surrender your attachment to being in control. By acknowledging that you are not alone, you can then tap into grace and flow with life, rather than fighting it.

Venus, the planet associated with heart energy, travels through the sign of Capricorn from 11/5-12/15. With Venus in Capricorn we tend to be more pragmatic about what we can accomplish. Review your spending habits to see if you are “putting your money where your heart is.” Look at how you can ground your financial position (Venus) by increasing your assets and streamlining your liabilities (Saturn).

Mercury goes retrograde 11/14 at 10 degrees Sagittarius until 12/4 when it goes direct again at 24 degrees Scorpio. Focus on broadening and deepening mental faculties, tapping into your natural wisdom rather than relying on external knowledge. Scorpio energy assists the mind in accessing truth that is veiled or hidden.

With the full moon at 23 degrees Taurus on 11/15 at 7:59pm, the emphasis is on listening to the needs of your body. When was the last time you had a massage? When did you last get out in nature to explore the beauty of the earth? Use the full moon in Taurus to reconnect with these elements.

Uranus, retrograde since 6/14, goes direct this month on 11/15 at 6 degrees Pisces, ushering in a new era of spirituality based on direct perception of God or unity consciousness. Now that it is no longer necessary to depend on external religion to “bind us to God,” (the true meaning of religion), a new freedom of Spirit is being released. Let Uranus in Pisces shift you from separation consciousness into unity consciousness.

Mars in Taurus, in a challenging relationship with Saturn in Leo 11/15-22, signifies strong will and the ability to persevere. With Mars/Saturn you can focus your will power and achieve highly productive results. The challenge is to not drive yourself too hard by being attached to outcome. Try to harness your strong will with non-attachment.

Saturn, at 3 degrees Leo, goes retrograde from 11/22 until 4/4/2006. The challenge with Saturn retrograde in Leo is learning how to direct creativity without suppressing it. Have you been hiding your light under a bushel? If so, it’s time to discover and release core beliefs that have censored your full self-expression.

The Sun enters Sagittarius on 11/22 at 12:15am. The Sagittarius principle demonstrates that meaning is created not through the concrete mind (knowledge), but through accessing higher mind (wisdom). Our job is to open our minds to a higher philosophical and spiritual understanding so we can be vessels for universal wisdom.

Jupiter in Scorpio, in a positive aspect to Uranus in Pisces from 11/22-12/2, represents rapid change and growth. You can utilize this transit to maximize growth in your life by letting go of resistance to change. Let yourself surrender to the inner and outer revolution that Jupiter/Uranus is calling for!
