Alt Car Contest

Tired of breathing the worst air in the nation? Sick of the freeway snarl? Got a brilliant idea for making it better? The AltCar Expo, scheduled for 12/9 –10 in Santa Monica, will reward you for your innovation in transportation.

Individually or as a team, submit your work on any area relating to alternative transportation—alternative fuel, automotive design, bicycle design, transportation infrastructure, mass transit…. anything that in its application will reduce the negative impacts of transportation.

Submissions must be original ideas not currently in use or major improvements to existing technologies, and must be feasible (even if pending more R & D).

Entries in two categories:

•Youth—6-12th grade students, $500 cash prize and a display of entry at the AltCar expo.

• Young Professionals—open to all college level students and professionals in the field five years or less, $1,000 cash prize, exhibit space at the AltCar Expo.
