Freedom through Authenticity

This month, the Aquarian influence pushes you towards greater authenticity in your relationships. Does your need for independence threaten your partner? Do you find that you have to stifle your self-expression with friends or colleagues in order to keep the peace? Breakthroughs in your relationships will occur when you tell the truth and express your deeper, authentic self.

With Mercury in Pisces from 2/2 - 4/10, (retrograde 2/13 at 11:38 pm through 3/7) it’s time to re-envision your dreams. By allowing your imagination to lead, you can access new ways of being that you’ve thought impossible.

The full moon at 12 degrees Leo on 2/2 (12:45 am) enhances your awareness of the divine child within. The divine child is the source of your creativity, spontaneity and enthusiasm. Tap into your sense of wonder and awe, the joy and aliveness that you receive by being totally present and in the moment.

With Venus at the same degree as Uranus in Pisces 2/6-8 and squaring Jupiter in Sagittarius 2/8-10, the focus is on how much freedom you need in relationships. True freedom is created by telling the truth about your needs for independence and issues around abandonment.
The new moon at 28 degrees Aquarius on 2/17 (11:15 am) challenges you to detach from your relationship dramas without abandoning your partner or yourself. This requires learning how to maintain your sense of personal autonomy while being emotionally present to the needs and desires of others.

The Sun entering the sign of Pisces on 2/18 at 8:09 pm helps us surrender the personal sense of “I” to allow for integration into the whole. Your job this month is to learn the value of surrender and open your consciousness to transcend your perception of separateness. When Saturn in Leo opposes Neptune in Aquarius 2/19-3-10, you are confronted with the contrast between your ideals (Neptune) and reality (Saturn). Sometimes the gap between the two can be disconcerting. Ask yourself: “What will it take to bring my dreams into reality?”

Take a look at how passion figures into your life as Venus passes through Aries 2/21-3/17. What are you passionate about? By discovering your passion you tap into your dharma; that sense of mission or purpose that will give your life increased meaning and joy.

Aries 3/21-4/20 Career ambition is high right now and you are more than raring to go. The big question is what are you doing it all for? If you can find a purpose that transcends your own needs, your success is guaranteed!

Leo 7/21-8/22 The full moon in Leo on 2/2 accentuates your outgoing and extroverted nature. You are being asked to step more fully into the limelight. The challenge is to give your gifts fully, with the utmost humility.

Virgo 8/23-9/22 You may surprise yourself this month: Your normal cautious nature is off duty, and you’re experiencing a directness and charisma that will deeply affect others. It’s time to be yourself, without pretence or reserve.

Libra 9/23-10/22 Longing to express your inner writer, singer or speaker? If so, now is the time. With your mind and heart in sync, whatever comes out of your mouth has an elegance and refinement that is palpable.

Scorpio 10/23-11/21 There is a lot of creative energy building that seeks tangible expression. Your mind and energy are geared toward doing something new and innovative. Find an outlet for this energy to relieve impatience.

Sagittarius 11/ 22-12/20 With Jupiter in its own sign of Sagittarius this year, you’re getting a major boost of energy and confidence. Try to find a way to share your wisdom with others through teaching or writing.

Capricorn 12/21-1/20 If your normally fine left-brain abilities aren’t getting you what you want, try switching to right brain mode for a while. Engaging your imagination will generate new possibilities that are way out of the box.
