Controversial Cover?
Lately, except for the January issue, WLT has been putting out issues with provocative female images that evoke the mainstream exploitation of a very narrow version of contemporary feminine “beauty.” These sexualized images do not connote what this publication is truly about. I assume that WLT uses these images to grab the attention of possible readers, and that this is the publishers’ intention.
Do you think that by using images of naked or nearly naked young women you underestimate your audience? I am a 5’10” 120 lb. young woman who could easily model for these covers, but it bothers me that I have to see this type of repetitive imagery, even in WLT.

The use of a nude woman model in a submissive and apprehensive pose is alarming when it appears under the words “Whole Life.” Whose whole life is it, anyway? The cover photo did not directly relate to any article in the magazine (thank heavens) nor was it appropriate or tasteful. If this cover photo represents a change in direction, go back.

Could you give me the name of the artist who provided the cover for February’s issue? It is fantastic!

Passing the Torch
Congratulations to Eliza on becoming the new editor in chief of WLT. We all know that you have some big shoes to fill. But I must tell you that I was so happy to read the “From the Editor” written by you in the February issue and get the same warm feeling and tickle of the mind that I would get from Abigail’s column. Each month I looked forward to her insights and takes on a “slice of life” to ignite my passions and inspire my thoughts. I always admired her courage in tackling the hard issues and presenting them with such clarity, openness and a dash of humor to make us smile at life. I look forward to your articles and guidance as part of the important tool that W hole Life Times is to our society.

We Support Marriage Equality
Bravo for running the bold and beautiful, full-page collage in celebration of love without restrictions. It’s so rare that a magazine surprises its readers in a way that makes them really proud of the publication they’re holding in their hands. The Blake quote is chillingly apt, and the whole page is visually stunning — a heart-felt valentine from WLT to its readers.
