Aww, We Like You Too

Thank you for your wonderful magazine. I’ve just received my first copy and was very pleased to see the article about raw foods. I intend to read the magazine cover to cover and I look forward to seeing future copies.
— Laurie Adams, Seattle

I was having a drink this week with a friend and mentioned to her how much I liked the WLT magazine covers, along with the magazine in general. She encouraged me to relay the feedback to you all directly... so there you go... your covers and mag rock! The calendar section is pretty cool too.
— Matt Cone, via email

I used to pick up WLT quite religiously until the magazine become so intolerant in its politics that it became intolerable to me. I happen to be environmentally and spiritually aware, and I respect, reuse, recycle, etc. I also happen to be a Republican who is pro-choice. As a result of ongoing negative commentary, I simply had to walk by the new issue stack at the health-food store. I noticed the “new look” so decided to give it another try. What a breath of fresh air! Wonderful content, and awareness, without the anger and political insults. I love the new format, and editorial content and was especially pleased with the article by Laura Wiley, “Apology for Not Breeding,” (April ’07). I too am childless, although not by choice. She broached an uncomfortable subject with objectivity, compassion and firsthand experience. I am now officially a reader of WLT once again!

Don’t Panic, It’s Organic

I was wondering if you could add “organic” in the categories on the Whole Life Dining page — that’s something we like to know before we choose a restaurant.
— Clara Bellar, via email

Ed. reply: Great idea Clara! We’re currently reformatting our Healthy Dining Guide — so that restaurant proprietors and patrons can update the information online themselves — and we’ll definitely consider adding “organic” to the search terms. In the meantime, while we don’t publish the Guide every month, you can always find it on our website at wholelifetimes.com/info/dining.
