Alchemistas of Clean

What’s the best way to know — I mean really know — you’re scrubbing that floor with an unadulterated, tried-and-true non-toxic product? By making it yourself, of course. Whether you’re a DIY devotee or a scrupulous participant in eco-living (or, at best, both), hosting a Green Cleaning party may be in your not-so-distant future.

Last month, Women’s Voices for the Earth launched their national Green Cleaning initiative to provide wanna-be-green cleaners around the world with the tools for staging chemi-free cleaning concoction get-togethers. Pledge to host a gathering and they’ll arm you with an arsenal of instructions for turning basic household supplies into safe, effective agents of clean.
To become the greenest hostess with the mostest on the block, or to attend an upcoming event in your area, visit womenandenvironment.org.
