One Heart, One Earthbeat

External change comes only in response to internal change

How we treat the planet and other people is a reflection of the way we treat ourselves. According to the principle of resonance, like attracts like. Our thoughts and emotions are vibrations, therefore our mental and emotional state creates a resonance pattern that attracts what is similar. Consequently, if our external conditions are less than ideal, it is possible they are reflecting the nature of our inner state. The implication is that our current environmental crises, as well as the social, political and economic issues we face, are manifestations of who we are as a collective consciousness. This suggests that changes to our external conditions will only happen when we change.

To resist change is the inclination of human nature. We resist change because we are afraid of the unknown. We often behave like unborn chicks refusing to leave the protection of the shell. Nature, however, has a way of cramping the comfort zone out of us. Either we suffocate from the pressure of our lungs collapsing against the boundaries of what lies beyond, or we shatter our limiting beliefs and step into a world of new possibilities. Our limiting beliefs are those we acquire through social conditioning: what we are taught in school, exposed to in the media, mimic from the behavior of friends and family. All of which feeds our need to fit in, to belong, to be like everyone else. However, everyone else is also afraid.

Our mental conditioning perpetuates our isolation through the belief system that our self-worth depends on what we possess, what we know, what job we have, how many television sets we own. This creates more consumerism, more competition, more envy, greed, deeper isolation, self-loathing, anger, resentment and even hatred. Changing our beliefs means learning to control our mind’s endless list of wants, the things it falsely believes will make it happy. It means releasing thoughts about perfection: what we think we should be or should have done with our lives. It takes courage to break out of the comfort zone of our familiar yet restrictive shell. However, nature is about to help us. We have reached a critical threshold where our future may depend on how well we change our worldview.

Change is not possible without action. Action was the hallmark of Marin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi. It is the hallmark of the sacred warrior—the person dedicated to self-awareness, nonviolence and service to others. The instrument of change (re-evolution) is heart-consciousness. It starts with our first learning to care for ourselves so we can connect with others. We care for ourselves when we silence the mind’s chatter of negative beliefs. This helps us develop an inner sensitivity to the subtle vibrations of the heart.

Heart-consciousness is aware that the heart beats 4,320 times per minute—1/10th of which, when squared, is equal to the speed of light (accurate to .002). The number of heartbeats in two hours (8,640) harmonically relates to the diameter of the Sun (864,000 miles), and the number of seconds it takes the Earth to rotate around its axis in a day (86,400). The number of heartbeats in half an hour (2,160) is the diameter of the Moon. The rhythm of the human heart is sensitive to changes in the heartbeat of Earth and to all life within the global community. When we realize our heart beats in time to everything in the universe, including the fabric of spacetime itself, we understand that all possibilities are available to us.

We are at a turning point. Every human being has the opportunity to create more caring relationships with others and the planet and to access intuition and higher levels of awareness. Developing our inner heart-consciousness provides the strength to overcome the limitations imposed by our present belief system. We must maintain our optimism and make room for positive change. Our every thought and emotion ripples across the fabric of spacetime. Nothing we do or think is wasted. We are all contributing something even if on the outside we don’t appear to be doing much. Through our hearts, we are always having an influence on the world.

Stephen Lindteadt, author of Scalar Heart Connection (Natural Healing House Press/October 2012), is an authority on mind-body connection and creator of workshops on physical health and emotional well-being. In 2002 Stephen developed the Quantum Healing Codes from the discoveries of Joseph Puleo. Scalar Heart Connection evolved primarily from his understanding of the geometry behind these codes, figure-8 techniques used by Tibetan monks, and the study of bioresonance.
