A pre-taste of the Lucent Temple of Consciousness at the real Lightning in a Bottle (LIB) festival in Bradley, Calif., rocked the downtown arts district Sunday, May 3. Held at The Springs—a restaurant-spa-community center that is itself worth a visit—the all-day affair featured bite-sized snacks of LIB energy: great music and dancing, a variety of talks and workshops, yoga and fab vegan eats. True to the real event, beer and wine were also available. Those present got inspired by David “Avocado” Wolfe (bone marrow injections!), did yoga with Mark Whitwell, explored ecstatic intimacy with Eva Clay, learned samba moves from Fransini and blissed out to live music and dance performances, all capped by an ecstatic DJ set with Shamans Dream.
The real Temple, which is at the heart of the LIB event over Memorial Day Weekend, will feature Dennis McKenna, Neale Donald Walsch, Mark Whitwell, Eva Clay, reggae master Rocky Dawuni and a host of other great presenters and musicians, including Flume, SBTRKT, Odesza, Tycho and many more. You can camp, bring your friends and party down in relative comfort, due to considerable improvements to the site this year. There’s a wonderful energy around this event, so check it out.
