There is a sliver of sanity amidst the chaos of headlines and holidays.
Love Serve Remember Foundation hosts a bi-annual retreat on Maui where hundreds gather to share space with contemplative teachers, meditate, chant, unwind and regroup. If you can’t make it over to Hawaii for this retreat, you can still create your own slice of island bliss. And it’s free!
The free retreat with Ram Dass, Sharon Salzberg and Krishna Das will be streamed online December 4-6, and is open to anyone with internet access.
Each day will feature three hours of contemplation, meditation and dharma talks, including:
- Ram Dass: what he means when he talks about unconditional love
- How to cultivate acceptance, compassion and non-judgment
- How to surrender to love through letting go of mental obstacles
- Stories from Westerners who traveled to India and were transformed by their relationship with Neem Karoli Baba, guru of Ram Dass and Krishna Das.
Teachings will be emailed to the online audience each day. Sessions will be available at 5pm PT/8pm ET on Dec 4, 5 and 6, but the links will be sent out an hour early to make sure you receive them in time. You can also use the same links to go back and view the talks at a later date.
Love Serve Remember is a nonprofit organization, so your donation is welcome. Go to the website to sign up for the retreat and get more information.
And if this taste of spiritual centering makes you hungry for more, you can create your own silent retreat right here in California.
