Taking up yoga can soothe pain and boost back-related function among people with chronic backache, according to the largest-ever clinical trial on yoga. Published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, the study of 228 adults found that 12 weekly, 75-minute classes of either yoga or stretching exercises resulted in significant back-pain relief.
