Get your mojo flowing with these sexy classes and seminars

By Carly Milne

Sure, love comes naturally. But sometimes, a little extra help in the arts of seduction can mean all the difference between a pleased smile and all-out blissful exhaustion. We don’t have to guess which one you’d prefer.

And while we’re all for sexual expression and exploration, we think intimacy and spiritual connection are equally important — and too often overlooked. While plenty of magazines promise “secret tricks to drive him wild” or those “tantalizing tips to make her melt,” few bother to address the subtler, finer techniques for discovering and sustaining everlasting love.

Yeah, chocolate and roses are fun, dinner and dancing divine, but if you really want to impress your significant other during the most loving month of the year, consider taking one of the following classes. You can thank us later.

Hoopnotica
If getting the hang of bellydancing seems a little daunting, hula hooping might be your solution. While Hoopnotica classes can burn as many calories as running, the best side effect is that the low-impact, sexy exercise teaches you how to shimmy, shake and move those hips! Recurring classes at The Blankenship Ballet Co., 132 Brooks Avenue, Venice. $20 per class. hoopnotica.com

Tantalizing Tantra
Got the basics of Tantra down, but unsure of where to go next? Ten-year Tantric education veteran Sharma is putting on a Tantric retreat workshop for couples designed to help them become better lovers, create deeper intimacy and make room for more love in their lives. Feb 13th and 14th, 10am to 6pm, $500 per couple. [click to e-mail], 818.317.3447. thepleasureparadigm.com

From beginner basics to sexy styling and fancy footwork, bring a partner and get $5 off your cost of class. Recurring classes, $15 per class, Revel Dance in Studio City. reveldance.com

Rock That Pole
Whether you’re interested in fitness or flirtiness, a session with S Factor is the perfect introduction into the world of pole dancing. Learn sexy spins, seductive moves, impressive grips, and work your core, upper body and balance. It’s a great class no matter what your level of expertise! Constant classes throughout the month. sfactor.com/LA

Valentine’s Day Partner Yoga Workshop with Lara Catone
While most times yoga is approached from an individual standpoint, partner yoga can tune us into our love’s needs and allow us room to be playful, receptive and sensitive. Teach each other trust, surrender, and find not only a deeper yoga practice, but a deeper connection to your partner. Feb 14th, 1:30 to 3:30pm, $35 per couple, Rising Lotus Yoga in Sherman Oaks. risinglotusyoga.com
